I'm going to just copy this from my tumblr:

I’ve taken down my shirt and poster designs on redbubble and teepublic.

There are a lot of reasons for this, but the most important is personal peace of mind regarding copyright infringement and making profit off of other peoples intellectual property. This is a personal decision, no company or outside entity is to blame. Nintendo did not email me demanding I take down all my work or anything like that.

I guess I’ll answer a few questions that might come up.

Q: I’d still like to buy some of your shirts, is there a way to do that?

A: I may make these available as high res downloads on my DeviantArt, but since I’ve done so many shirts it will most likely be on a request type basis. With high res files you can print them out and put them on a transfer, then iron them on to your shirts at home. Or you can take it to your local vendor and print it, I don’t mind. Just please don’t profit off of it and maybe drop my name if someone asks who designed it.

Q: What about your prints?

A: I’ll be uploading full size file to DA periodically in the upcoming weeks, feel free to print them out yourself, or take them to your local printshop and get some pretty cool posters. Again, don’t sell them please.

Q: So what are you going to do now?

A: I’m going to make more original art I think, and I’ll probably make a few shirts here and there as well, just nothing that could be seen as copyright infringement. If you’d like to see more of that then stay tuned.

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate your support.

As much of a bummer as it is to see someone who does better designs than the people who do marketing for these companies going out of the business, I think we'd all much rather have to print off our own iron-on transfers of your shirts than see you go out of business for doing a service to the fandom. I think you've made the right decision, but it may not seem that way in the ledger for a long time. Kudos to you.
